Friendly SCP:SL Roleplay server, Have Fun!

These are the official ingame rules for the Area 14 server.
General Rules
• Using cheats or disruptive in-game exploits is strictly prohibited

• NO SOUNDBOARDS IN RP. The only exception is if a Hoster or member of Management gives permission, in which case the soundboard must make sense. Soundboards out of Rp are allowed.

• Racism, homophobia, or any sort of hateful language is strictly prohibited.

• Stay in character as much as possible and notify others when you are not. If you have no intent to roleplay, this is not the server for you.

• Be respectful out of character, only be rude in character if the situation calls for it (unless it's justified if the justification is bs then you will be warned).

• Remember to FEARRP; Value your life and be afraid of your character's death.

• Do not mention OOC (Out of Character) knowledge! If your character wouldn't know something, then you shouldn't be acting like you do. When you die, you are a new character, so don't mention your past lives.

• Obey chain of command! Blatant disobedience when in threat of harm or punishment is unrealistic. If following orders requires you to break the rules, the person who ordered you will be punished (and if the order is to jump into a pit, inform another superior or Hoster).

• Follow the guidelines and rules for your specific role listed below. These may be ignored if you have a good enough reason and roleplay, it well.

• Harassing Hosters or other players, or generally being a nuisance to the server will result in punishment.

If you can roleplay it well enough, some of these rules may be broken. The admin has the final say.

• Looting is not allowed.

1.1. Med kit cabinets are for emergencies only and are not for your taking.

1.2. You can RP owning a locker, but don't go around opening every locker looking for items

1.3. Accessing SCP items without permission is considered a breach of containment and is strictly prohibited.

• Possession of firearms as researcher or other non-combatant personnel is prohibited unless otherwise specified (ex. gun license)

• Attacking other foundation personnel is strictly prohibited unless in self-defense. If you witness the termination of another foundation member and believe it was unjust, please report it; Do not take matters into your own hands.

• Taking part in or assisting in breaches of security (ex. spreading contraband) is prohibited.

• As a scientist, you are the heart of the roleplay. Use exposition; Talk to others and make the roleplay interesting. Don't just sit around waiting for something to happen.

• When testing, remember that Class-D are meant for research and are not entirely expendable. Use them for research and to test theories; Don't just send them in to die for no reason.

• As Scientists you aren't some crazed gunmen or ex-Navy Seals. You are chemists, physicists, astronomers, and scholars, and have minimal, if any, training in combat. Just because there's a gun on the ground doesn't mean you need to pick it up and start shooting at the invading Chaos Insurgents. Practice FEARRP and stick with Security and MTF when you can. It'll make the roleplay more interesting.

• During testing, don't interfere/ get involved. The scientists are in charge, and you will follow their orders. Stand by the doors or watch the D-Class, but don't get in the way or interfere with testing.
Outside of testing, you are in charge of the D-Class. Area 14 has a limited supply, so only terminate them if necessary. This includes during containment breaches.

Listen to scientists during testing unless the request is extremely unreasonable, such as telling you to stand in a tesla gate. In the event of a code orange, you can ignore most things. If Scp Items Are Onsite You may attempt to steal and use them, just try to survive/escape during code oranges (you still have to follow the general rules) and you should still fear RP and act as if you are in a life-or-death situation.
